Overview

Problem Space

Clinicians spend a big chunk of each day writing session reports, time taken straight from patient care. Key problems:

  • Clinicians spend significant time writing session reports, reducing time for patient care
  • Manual documentation can lead to inconsistencies and delayed follow-ups
  • Trust in AI-generated content is critical in clinical settings

Key Observation Insights

My research surfaced:

  • Clinicians described report-writing as unavoidable overhead that competed directly with time spent on patients
  • When documentation lagged behind sessions, detail and consistency slipped and follow-ups got delayed
  • Existing automation tools missed clinical context and couldn't guarantee privacy, so clinicians didn't trust them. Anonymity was the precondition for using AI on sessions at all

  • Privacy and anonymity are non-negotiable
  • Seamless integration with existing workflows is essential
